Step 1

How the app is organized

At the bottom of the screen there's a bar: the round assistant button on the left, five tabs on the right. They take you to any section.

Bottom bar: the assistant button and the Main, Tasks, Notes, Budget and Profile tabs 123456
  1. Assistant: a chat about your records. Ask about your spending or have it add a task.
  2. Main: your day today: money, tasks, habits, day results and the feed.
  3. Tasks: a switcher at the top for tasks, goals, habits and calendar.
  4. Notes: formatted notes, folders and sharing.
  5. Budget: expenses, income and accounts. Budget Plan, debts and subscriptions live here too.
  6. Profile: level, streak, life areas and settings behind the gear icon.

Four sections in the “Tasks” tab

Tasks, goals, habits and calendar are connected, so they share one tab. Switch between them with the buttons at the top.

Press and hold a tab to open a quick actions menu. For “Budget” it has “Add purchase” and “Add income”. For “Tasks” there's “Add task” plus shortcuts to goals, habits and calendar.
Step 2

Five things for day one

You don't have to set everything up on day one. Five entries in different sections are enough.

  1. 1

    Log your first expense

Open Budget and tap +. Enter the amount, choose a category and an account. You picked the categories on first launch, and you can change them.

  2. 2

    Add a task for today

In the Tasks tab, tap + and write what needs to be done. New tasks land in “Inbox”, and you can sort them into lists later. A task with a time also shows up in the calendar.

    All about tasks →
  3. 3

    Start one habit

Switch to Habits, tap + and pick a ready-made template: water, workout, reading. One habit is enough to start.

  4. 4

    Ask the assistant

Tap the round button in the bottom left and write in plain words: “Log a $12 taxi” or “What tasks do I have today?”. If the assistant logged the wrong thing, undo it with one tap.

    All about the assistant →
  5. 5

Wrap up your day in the evening

Tap the day rating button on Main and choose 🔥, 👍 or 😥. In “Day results”, write what went well and what you're grateful for. A reminder comes at 21:30.

⭐
The first four steps are free, and without a subscription you can ask the assistant 3 questions a day. Day results, Budget Plan, task times and habit reminders are part of the PRO subscription.
Step 3

Main: your day on one screen

By default the app opens on Main. It has two tabs at the top: “Today” and “Feed”.

📅

Today

Today's expenses and income, tasks, events and habits. Tap a block to open the full section.

Above Main there are stories with app news. At the bottom, the “The day will end in” bar counts down the time until midnight.
Step 4

Make it yours

Settings open with the gear icon in the top right of the “Profile” tab. Start with these five items.

Profile→⚙️→Settings

  • 🧩

    Feature settings

You chose your sections on first launch. If you don't need, say, debts or subscriptions, turn them off here. The section disappears from the menu, and your records are kept.

  • 🌱

    Life area settings

Keep the life areas that matter to you. The app uses them to draw a balance radar in your profile, and the formula is explained in a separate article.

  • 🎨

    Appearance

Light or dark theme, color scheme, font and app icon.

  • 🔔

    Sound & notifications

Reminders and the sound when you complete tasks and habits.

  • 🔄

    Synchronization

Sign in to your account, and your records will be the same on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and in the web app. Offline, keep logging as usual: changes go to the server once you're back online.

📲
The iPhone, iPad and Mac app is on the App Store, and the Android app is on RuStore. The web app opens in a browser at app.mylifeapp.ru.
Step 5

Once you're settled in

After a couple of weeks, try goals and the calendar. They tie tasks, habits and events together.
