What a life area is
A life area tags which part of your life a record belongs to: health, career, relationships. You can add one to almost anything in the app, and these tags add up to a picture of your balance.
Tag
The task “Workout”, the habit “Water” and a doctor's appointment all get the “Health” area.
Radar
Your profile shows how much attention each area got compared to the others.
Life areas are completely free: the radar, the area screen and custom areas all work without PRO.
Built-in and custom areas
The app comes with ten built-in areas. You pick the ones you need on first launch, and you can turn on the rest later.
- Built-in areas: the name is fixed, but you can change the emoji and color. They can't be deleted, only turned off.
- Custom area: “+” in life area settings or “New life area” in the picker. Emoji and name are required, the color is up to you. There's no limit on how many you create.
Where to set an area
You pick the area with a chip or a row in the form. Almost everywhere it's optional.
- A category's area is filled in automatically for a new expense or income in that category.
- A task inside a goal gets the goal's area, and a subscription expense gets the subscription's area.
- You can't set an area on a task in someone else's shared list or on a transaction in a group's shared account.
- XP for an action also goes to the record's area.
Radar in your profile
At the top of the “Profile” tab there's a radar of your active areas. Each axis has an emoji and a score from 0 to 100.
- The shape matters more than the numbers: an even polygon means your attention is spread out, a sharp spike means one area takes it all.
- The scale is relative: the radar adjusts to your best score, so even the leader doesn't touch the edge.
- Tap a point to open that area's screen.
- It's recalculated every time you open your profile.
- In the web app the radar lives in the “Life Areas” section and appears once three or more areas are turned on.

How the score works
The score is made up of six metrics with different weights. Each metric compares an area to the leader: the leader in tasks gets the full share, an area with half as many tasks gets half.
- Tasks: completed tasks, and for a repeating task, every day it was checked off.
- Habits: days when the habit was done and the daily goal was reached.
- Events: minutes in the calendar; repeating events count every past occurrence.
- Notes: the number of notes with the area.
- Expenses and income: the number of transactions, not the amounts.
- Debts: the paid-off part of the area's debts, divided by the number of all debts with an area. There's no comparison with the leader here: if two debts in different areas are fully paid off, each area gets half the share.
Life area screen
Tap an area on the radar or in settings to open everything that belongs to it.
- Header: emoji and name, the area's XP and a score ring.
- “Activity over 7 days”: tasks and habits as “done out of total”, event minutes, expenses and income.
- Goals, habits, tasks and notes in this area. You can check off tasks right on this screen.
- The “+” button on each block creates a record with this area already set: a task goes to “Inbox”.
- The pencil opens editing for the emoji, color and name.

Life area settings
“Profile” → “Settings” → “Life area settings”: all areas with their scores and toggles.
- The toggle removes an area from the radar and the picker. Records with that area stay as they are.
- Order is changed by dragging, and the radar axes follow it. In the app, the save button applies the changes; in the web app they apply right away.
- The whole section can be turned off in “Feature settings”. Then the radar and the area pickers disappear from all forms.
- Sync: areas, their order and colors are the same on all devices with your account.
How to use it
The radar is useful when you look at it regularly.
- Keep 5–6 areas
Ten axes are hard to read. Turn off what doesn't matter right now.
- Set areas on habits and tasks
They carry the biggest weights, 25% of the score each. A repeating task counts for every day you check it off. Setting the area on expense categories once is enough.
- Check the shape once a week
If an area has sunk, add one goal or habit for it.
